The Boneyard is one of our favorite yard displays in the Oak Lawn/Burbank area, which is home to many great setups, including Hell's Corner, The Nephilim, Midnight Terror and more. We enjoy visiting all of the great haunts each year, and we especially look forward to this one.
True to its name, the Boneyard is mainly set up like a cemetery, with a variety of tombstones and figures surrounded by a rickety fence. Figures abound in the display, populating the front yard, the main walkway, the porch and more. Some of them include more generic figures, like demonic clowns, skeletons, and others, as well as movie monsters from Freddy to Jason. There is even a skeletal football player - not something you see every day. One of the most unique aspects of the Boneyard is its collection of Jack-O-Lanterns that feature famous movie monsters, including Chucky, Freddy, Jason, Beetlejuice, Leatherface, and Mike Myers. While not handmade, they are still fun and unique, and they add to the enjoyment of the Boneyard itself. There are quite a lot of interesting props here, both moving and static, and of enough variety so that Halloween fans of all ages will enjoy them. There are some scary bits, some funny bits, and enough things to look at to make a visit an enjoyable part of a night's haunting. We recommend the Boneyard for haunt enthusiasts of all ages! |
