17250 S Weber Rd, Lockport, il 60441
year: 2008
Paul and guest tourer Allen visited this haunt back in 2008. This is a very big budget haunt, they do not allow photos or video. This year they had 2 haunted houses - the main prison and the city of the dead. There was a lot to see here, the props were everywhere, the enthusiasm of the actors was top notch and the make-up and special effects were top-of-the-line for a pay haunt. The prison was a bit longer than the city of the dead and much more inter-active.

You start out being locked up in a fence with a bunch of other people until they explain the rules and let you out, you are then led to another area where the warden explains the rules and also the devilish animated creature talks to you before you actually enter the haunt itself, this is a bit repetitive and the extremely long wait time (it could be hours) make the VIP pass worth getting. There was just so much to see here, we did feel a bit rushed at times, there was just so much in both of these haunts to see. The high price tag (this is probably the most expensive haunt around) and long wait time, loads of people and being cramped and rushed at times took away from this haunt getting a 5 out of 5. If you want to see a professional haunt done professionally this is the way to go, however, you may not be able to fit many other haunts on the night you go and again, this has a high price tag - they do offer group discounts for groups of 15 or more for around $21.00 per person though if that's an option for you.
