If you're looking for old school fun with a haunt theme, Niles Scream Park is the way to go. It offers five different haunts, consisting of three haunted houses, a hayride and a haunted trail, all for $35. The haunts range in length from about 5-8 minutes to over 20 minutes each, plus there are food concessions, games, a place to watch movies, and even special guests during the Halloween season. It's really an excellent value, and it's family friendly as well!

Like an old-fashioned amusement park, Niles is more  entertaining than scary, with most scares coming in the form of sounds, pop out animatronics, or some actors who try to startle. Nothing in your face or intense here, and much of the set design looks like something you might find at a some sort of theme park, and that's all part of the charm that is Niles Scream Park. You won't find many haunts experiences like this, which is why Niles has been drawing crowds for over 40 years.

The highlight of the haunts is the main house, which this year featured a Universal monster theme, something we've been hoping a haunt would do for years!

COMMENTARY

If you have a family or younger kids and want to spend an evening haunting without spending a fortune, Niles is the the way to go. You can easily spend 3-4 hours there and not do everything. Well worth the trip!
