Homer Glen, IL
years: 2010
Monsters and Madmen is a haunt we really miss. It was held in a small garden center in Homer Glen, but showed good things come in small packages, as the haunt packed in the scares.
The inside of the haunt was filled with twists and turns, and live actors hidden in places that none of us expected. All three of us had good scares from different actors, which marks one of only two times that all three Tourers were scared in the same haunt.

Live actors came out of nowhere, from hidden panels in the walls, from behind slats across windows, and even from the ceiling. The ending of the haunt featured an outdoor area filled with strobe lights and fog, Michael Meyers stalked unsuspecting victims in this area, and he managed to get Horror Tourer Paul in particular.
We loved this haunt. It had great set design, actors, and some clever twists and turns. Unfortunately for us (and everyone else), 2010 seems to have been its last year. Fortunately, Horror Tourer Paul did a complete video walkthrough of the haunt, and we present the (mostly) unedited video here, so everyone can watch the chaos unfold!
