316 W. Dekalb Drive, Maple PArk, IL
The House at 316 was a brand new haunt for the Tourers, and there's nothing we like better than to go to haunts we've never been to before.
The House at 316 was divided into two major sections - a graveyard with a very large and realistic looking "Myers" tombstone (an obvious homage to the Halloween movies), and a campground setting featuring a couple of tents and some dismembered body parts. Although not specifically showcased, this area was reminiscent of the Friday the 13th movie series, this covering to major horror movie characters in one setup.
The front of the house was also decorated as to appear abandoned, with boarded up windows and doors, and there were a few heads dangling from the front porch as well. The entire thing was complemented by some effective lighting and sound effects, transforming an ordinary front lawn into a more desolate, creepy haunted display. Well done!
