15416 S. Creekside Drive, Plainfield, IL
Year: 2014
Another in a long string of excellent haunts in the Plainfield area, Creepside (formerly Creekside) Hauntings is a symphony of light, sounds, and music that illuminates the entire front lawn of the owner's property. The display is designed to resemble a cemetery and so of course it has a plethora of tombstones and ghoulish figures populating it. Many of the figures are articulated and all are set on what seems like an incline, so figures in the back are elevated above figures in the front. This gives the impression of a large and endless number of figures off in the distance. One of our favorite sections of this display is right in the front. It features a moving wolf-like creature with bloody jaws that appears to be devouring a body. It is coming out of what looks like a little brick cage and on top of the cage is the sign for Creekside Hauntings with the "K" painted over with a "P" - it's a nice setup, and it is indicative of the creativity on display here. It's well worth a look, especially if you're visiting any other Plainfield haunts such as Winding Creek Haunted Woods, Resurrection Cemetery, or Village of Screamfield. You can hit several four and five chainsaw haunts in one location! |
