Corner of the Cursed, as the name implies, is a haunted yard display located on a corner lot. This gives it plenty of space to work with, and it does so very well.

The haunt is divided into two main sections. The first, located directly in front of the house and in the front yard, consists of various individual setups, both animated and static, mostly with a clown/amusement park theme. There is a giant clown with glowing eyes and a horn who moves and beeps, several clowns coming out of the ground, and even a upside down beheaded clown whose blood flows into a large bucket at the bottom of the table that he is on.

Additionally, the house is decorate like a fairy tale castle, with turrets and narrow windows, and is lit with an eerie green light. In the background, one can see a hanging man struggling to free himself as he hangs there. All of this is complemented by some tiny glowing lights and some red spotlights, making for an creepy scene.

The creepiness continues down near the corner, where the second part of the display appears. This one is primarily made up like a cemetery, complete with large iron gate and sign at the very edge. Inside the cemetery are all sorts of figures, from zombies to ghosts, to skeletal angel like figures. Many of the figures move, turning their heads to watch visitors or attempting to claw their way out of their graves. There are even a few smoke effects here as well.

Overall, there is a lot to see here, and it's enjoyable to see what is new each year. As an extra treat, on certain nights the father and son team that operate the display appear outside in character, stalking unsuspecting visitors. The son usually is dressed like a psychotic clown, complete with homemade miniature scythe, and the father often appears with a chainsaw, just waiting for someone to terrorize.

When in the Oak Lawn/Burbank area, be sure to check it out!
